Growing up in the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest, Gale has a strong affinity with the beauty of nature. Largely self-taught, Gale's artwork focuses primarily on exploring the relationship that people have with their environment. Gale is most comfortable working in watercolor and pastel, but she is also attuned to working in a variety of other media, including photography. Much of her photography captures the landscape of Texas, where she has lived for the past thirty years.

Two years of formal training in commercial art in college, combined with a thirty-year career in the financial services industry, enhance Gale's ability to expand beyond the world of fine art and illustration into the world of commercial advertising, graphic design, and marketing. Logo design, business cards, other business marketing materials, and small business websites are among the specialties of her graphic arts business: Shadow Ridge Graphics (www.shadowridgegraphics.com).

As President of the Chisholm Trail Art Association (www.chisholmtrailartists.com) and Member of the Big Country Art League, Gale currently is concentrating on promoting the visual arts of Montague County, Texas, and in painting and photographing the countryside surrounding her Texas home. Her work can be seen in the gift shop of the Red River Station Inn in Nocona, Texas. Gale also serves on the Montague County Historical Commission and the Board of Directors for the Tales 'N' Trails Museum in Nocona.
